Getting the Gal back. Thinking 351 or 427 EFI, only chrome left will be bumpers, grille, headlight and taillight bezels. Hubby won't go for purple. lol. Not going to be original at all. Old pics, paint is terrible. Any ideas?

Hmm...purple sounds good..like the shade of purple on your Stang...I wanna see stages of this project, whatever you do...will be your own...unique! Hey maybe a lil' airbrushed art that represents you or the history of the car, bold stripes/color changin stripes or paint the car with the flip flop colors, have fun with it,Elly
Strip the paint to bare metal and paint it a Kandie color, maybe a cobalt blue over silver or a flip flop pearl. lol with your project.
It would look good a darker purple with lighter purple trim exterior and interior the light purple and black.
The 351 would be nice, but a 302 set-up would be easier to get out of a 90's Thunderbird. You could move everything straight over, EFI and all.
I agree with Crimson but there is just something about the number 427. I definitely think you should do some kind of two tone on this car. Like black over redfire or something like that. Maybe even black over that kandy tangerine would be sick.
That sounds good too.
I'm thinking if I do a 2 tone, it would have to be front to back. Top to bottom may just make her look way longer than she is (and she is!)... Very interesting, gonna have to think on that one! I'm thinking about getting a brand new crate motor. With all the money spent on freshening up a junkyard motor, it'd be close to a new one anyway. I have a kickass price on a 351 right now, haven't asked about the 427 yet.
Can't wait to see what you do with her Sony, it will be awesome I'm sure!!!
Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets, so love the people who treat you right, forget about the ones who don't, and believe that everything happens for a reason. POSSE MOTTO:
"life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body,
but rather, to slide in broadside, thouroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming 'wow, what a ride!!' "
Thanks Judy! It'll be a while for progress pics, but I'll get 'em up as they come!
Nah it wouldn't look too long. It'd be pretty f*ing sweet.
Might not get her back after all.... big drama...
