The HUNT pics are something totally different. I vote fake all the time. If someone doesn't post two DIFFERENT angles I vote fake. Taking one picture at one spot and then doing a close-up from the same spot isn't two different angles. I am tight with my vote and if the photos don't meet the criteria of the hunt text - it's a fake.

There was a recent post for someone in a construction area (showing construction equipment). The photo showed the car sitting by the "Constuction Ahead" sign. That's not your car at a construction site.

I hope the one you linked to is an example of NOT meeting the criteria, because it doesn't. The angle is exactly the same for both pictures - only the camera is moved an inch to the right on the second photo. The car is sitting at the same angle for each picture. Different angles meets the person (NOT THE CAMERA) must move several (10 to 15 at least) feet either left or right and take a second photo.

You can't point the camera at a different place and call it an angle. Shooting the car from a different position (that doesn't mean taking one step left or right) is an angle. See the link below for the what "DIFFERENT ANGLES" looks like.

Here's a unique one. The car angle is the same in both pictures, but the car has been moved in each picture with BEST BUY shown in two different angles. This is also a good hunt post.

look at the parking spot lines. Look at the curb between the camera and the car. It IS different angles. The front of the car is at the corner of the ATM in one pic,Not in the other. Maybe thats the problem.People dont pay close enough attention.

Moving the car two feet and taking another photo from the same spot is not a different angle. The car is in the same angle and so is the building or item in question. I pay attention to every photo posted when voting on a hunt and people should do it right to get credit for it. There are people who will vote valid on anything someone posts. It's not, "well they made the effort lets give it to them". What you consider an angle and what I consider an angle to two totally different things, and that's fine. But it makes this posting about how we vote on Hunts moot.

the car wasnt moved at all. If only the car was moved and not the camera,the parking spot lines and curb would be exactly the same length.You would also see exactly the same amount of the curb in the parking lot. I was sitting in it.Trust me it wasnt moved.lol

Its really not that big of a deal. From what I've seen you could take two pics of your ass and put up and it would be verified eventually,with only 4 or 5 fakes on it. lmao

I also agree with mustangfreak...it's just a website....but things like that, and other things (like the same people continuously being nominated for the same stuff, and continuously winning...dont get me wrong, some people have badass cars, and it's cool sometimes...but that's been an issue before)... , have in fact turned me away from the site a little. all that...and i mean...ive ranked over 1000 people as well...and dont have half that in return... and the people in the top lists...are there because they've got more votes, and the numbers add up, not necessarily because their being voted high... But im still here. People just suck sometimes. This site is here for fun. And for mustang lovers to share that love. And if really have issues, or arent here for that...go somewhere else til you're happy.

my problem with the hunt....is the people trying to submit them for ultimate hunt....WITHOUT the ultimate hunt object in it...and people voting real... ya, so the car is in a construction site...where the hell is the umbrella?! so i vote fake...of course some people pay no attention and just vote real to vote.

it only take a couple of seconds to open a pic...i enjoy going to the sites and looking at the cars,...it gives me idea i want to do to mine and different angles i can take with my car...i would never gave anybody a 1 and the lowest i have gave is a 6...people have different taste..what one person thinks is a 10 somebody else might think a 6 or a 8.

out of 262 ranks I've been ranked below 5 eleven times with my v6. I don't agree with them but that's cause it's my car. I also realize that it was more than likley due to the fact that it's a v6 as well(due to the fact that my stock GT has less under five ranks lol). I would have thought the hours and hours of engine work, body work and such would be worth more than a 5 let alone the power it puts out for a 6er. But it don't suprise me any and I honestly could care less about those ranks. I myself am a fair ranker. I would never rank some one low for effort and hard work put into a car.

Also, alot of people look at it differently. For example,someone may look at a car and say"Thats a nice car...but it 100% stock". So they may give you a lower rank because nothings been done to it. Which some people may not have interest in mods,so they dont make any.Another person may look at the same car and say"Wow,thats the best color,it's super clean,awesome car",and give a 10.

Since no one wanted to step up to the plate and explain how they knew someone ranked them a 1 I figured it out on my own. The Mods don't have to tell me their secret and tell that they can see who ranked them what rank. While the rest of us can only see who did and didn't rank us, and how many were a 5 and under.

We cant see who ranked who what. To my knowledge the only one that might can see that is J himself

I am in the process of going through all the sites and ranking. Why? Because I like looking at people's cars and what they have done to them. When I rank the site/car I look at the car, the site and a very small amount on when it was last updated. I take the time to read the comments/story, look at the picture and make a judgement. I don't think I have ranked anyone a 1 or a 2, and if it's a three, it's because there's nothing there. I will leave a note saying it was an "initial rank." Another thing that gets me is the exact same comment site after site after site. Be creative -- there is something to be said about each unique ride.

Now, with this new format, where's the clicker for "people who I have NOT ranked??"

I'm new, but have started keeping a list of commentators and noting when I rank them back so nobody gets left off. At first I was unfamiliar with how the site worked and thought you could rank *and* comment with one click, so I did it all at once and by chance returned later to find my comment, but no rank. So I went back thru and tried to make sure not to leave any loose ends.

If I've missed any of you after you've come by, please accept my apologies - I'm still learning the ropes... so that's my take on why some people might be neglectful in commenting or ranking.

I figure people who ranked me under 5 were either there before I figured out how to post pix, which makes sense, or think I need more serious performance mods to be a contender. Which is understandable since we've got blown, turbocharged, sprayed Saleens, Roushes, Cobras, etc. on here; people who've gone far beyond the typical level of custom paint/body/interior work; people who've sunk more $ into their cars than mine cost to buy. I'm not in the local mall parking lot competing against lime green Gremlins anymore - these are REAL cars! LOL

Check this one out. User named "Killapony" has a site up. It very surely fake. I enjoyed the read and left him a private message ... however the cookie cutter comments are funny also.

Obviously this is fake...or they got the wrong pic uploaded..
I left the a guestbook entry that they should send me a guestbook entry when they can update their pictures.

this is an example of a "1" ranking (which I WILL update if this person sends me a guestbook entry..or I happen to stumble on them again later and see that their site is updated properly)

I checked with J on this before..If someone does re-rank you then the original rank is replaced by the new ranking.

I also rank some sites with a picture of themselves and NO stang, some people do this to become a GS member but still particapate in ranking others
in this case I ranked them as a "1" I remember one girl who had a dozen pictures of herself in a beauty pagent or something...and she didnt own a Stang..or even have a single picture of a stang on her site...I guess that's ok..but they get a 1 from me.
so I can at least rank them something...I wish there was a "zero".

anyway, I have 24 under a 5...and this number is getting bigger
I know some could have been while I was setting up my page.
and some maybe hated my stang as a 4 banger (although I always said I was swaping to a 5.0)
..I'm not upset though...there's some people who gave me a 10; and it's likely due to effort or even that they think my car is "pretty". That'll offset the few below the 5..in the end it balances out.
