    Default thinking about tradin up

I have a 2001 SS camaro, along with my 67 mustang, kinda wierd comparin the two in the garage. ANYWAYS, im thinking about tradin up the SS for a 03-04 Cobra. and i was wondering what you guys have to say about your cars. Ups, Downs, any problems with them. Just trying to get as much feedback as i can before i go to the dealership and hand over the keys. i have put about 10k into this car in less than a year, and i want to make sure that im making the right decision by letting it go. I want about 500 horsepower and i know that its very easily achieved expecially with the supercharger on there already, i want a car that can handle a road coarse very well, and something that i can do a lot of body mods too, and since there is all kinds of stuff for those in the aftermarket world, and cheaper than what they have for the chevys and pontiacs, i figured it would be a half-way, decent deal.

    thanks guys.

Well for ~ $1000 you can have 500RWHP/500RWT.... I have owned my Cobra for almost a year and a half, and I certainly don't regret my choice. I have had no issues.... just pleasure. IMO, it is a great all around car(power/handling/braking/looks/ride comfort/seats). Good luck!

In person, the cars are beautiful and the seats... well lets just say as soon as I can get my hands on a set, they're going in. As for the stock blower, makes it sooo easy to produce more power. I hang out a TON on www.svtperformance.com , it's by FAR the number one place for information on the 03/04 SVT cobra. Just a JLT cold air intake will net a cobra 24rwhp... and thats dyno proven by countless people, same with the catback and other minor mods, this car is just begging to be opened up. Add a smaller pulley and maybe port the blower, 500rwhp/TQ is right there

Well I wouldnt neccessarily say its gonna be cheaper than Chevy, cuz everyone knows chevys are the cheapest to build and Dodge being the most expensive! But overall, you can hit 500rwhp with ease in these cars! I love mine and do not regret getting it at all, the only downfall I have to say is that the tires just blow off with ease and that gets pricey!!!!

since i got my 2004 cobra the only thing i have done to it ,is put the mgw short shifter in . the stock shifter is ok if your arms are 5 feet long lol . i use mine as my daily driver as much as i can but in the winter it is under cover!! i live in mass bloody snow hell!!!, the car has the power from stock , i do autox my first year at it i have done 3 up too now , i do nothing to my car as it is street stock . others change tyre pressures me blow it . i feel good driving full belt screaching tyres and power wow. i never win but it is great fun , get one you wont regret it ! but you will never know until you try it out good luck with your choice , a tip dont buy one allready moded out do it your self , then you know what you want and what you want to achive .
