Default Bruntzy! Question about hood mod...

I saw your post in SVTPerformance regarding the hood mod.. Did you ever get around doing it? Have you noticed heat disipation improvements??

The "blanket" under my hood is all stained from water, badly. I want to get rid of the thing but I'm afraid too much water will get into the engine bay cuz I live in the Seattle area.

    Let me know!

haha yea it looks like shit, all dirty...

it's cuz of the openness of the hood. the Terminator Cobras have those 2 vents on the top and they're barely open (you can open them up a bit more or remove the whole blanket thingy and it's supposed to allow better cooling).

BRUNTZY, WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU..?

    Cool

the only thing is also i know with ram air and cowl induc and shakers also they only start working at 110 mph visual and clerance performance if you will it kind of the same deal as puting a down force wing on a front wheel drive looks good but not practical As for the the heat it will probly help disipate that but unawar for shure dont quite know the confiuration and strure of that hood

WHERE on Earth do you get them?? I've searched the internet and can't find a thing! I have a great car show trick though.. Take your insulator off and spray it with flat black...makes it look brand new!

WARNING - never try to wash your insulator..it fuzzes up..lol

    LOL...

I think you can order them straight from Ford, but I don't know the part #.

I should buy a new one and keep it stored...

I took my hood blanket completely off, I was skeptical at first because of the hood getting to hot but I actually think it is cooler with it off.
