Exclamation Got Stang? Invitational Flyer (up your referrals!)

The following is not an original idea of mine (a local car club has been using it for a while), but I thought it would be good to adapt to GS? to bring more people to the site, and help you all with your referrals...

We've composed a "flyer" you can print out and place on a fellow Mustang's windshield wiper that promotes the site, as well as includes a field for you to enter your username so they can specify who referred them when/if they sign up. Now, generally I get pissed when someone leaves some sort of ad on my winshield wiper, but the main reason is cuz they just put it there and sometimes I don't see them, then I'm driving off and the thing tears, or worse, it rains and it smudges on my windshied and well it can be pretty messy... Oh yea, then there's that other reason... I'm not interested in what you're selling!!

But, since this is advertising a free site to discuss a common interest, the last item above should not be a problem in most cases... To eliminate the other problem, the idea is to obtain regular plastic sandwich bags (ziploc, GLAD, or any other with plastic sippers) and insert the invitations in them (individually of course...who needs 10 copies of the same invitation!?)

In case you don't know what kind of bag I'm talking about, here's one in all of its glory (found it in my work's breakroom..dont' ask me what's in it)...

You'll find below a JPEG image of the invitation, which should print out to about 5.333 x 4 inches. Most sandwich bags are about 6 x 6 inches in size, so it should fit right in. If you're concerned about the cost, you can easily get a box of 50 for about 2 dollars at your grocery store.

Print it out, write your username in the provided field, and palce inside a bag. After placing the invitation in the bag, place it under the driver-side windshield wiper so it's visible to the driver when they approach the car, or for sure when they get in.

We used one of Cody's wallpapers as the background for the current invitation. I think it looks nice and professional. If anyone has any feedback regarding the message or general look of the invitation, feel free to post it on here.

Click on the image to open the large version. It is 1600x1200 and should look nice if printed at 100% of its size. Should come up to about 5.333 x 4, as mentioned above.
