    Default 351w help

Im rebuilding a 351w and I am wondering what would be the best way to fix one of my cyclinders. I nicked up one of them and wondering what would be the best way to fix it. Sleeve it or bore it?

Since we're into confessions...I totally ruined one of my cylinders while I was building my 347. An oil scraper ring got folded between the piston and gouged the crap out of my cylinder. A local shop sleeved it for $75.

I pick sleeving over an additional overbore any day. The modern thin wall castings get harder and harder to keep running cool after boring, sometimes after as little as .030 over.

Besides, if you've already paid for a bore and finish hone for all 8 cylinders, i suspect a sleeve and a finish hone for one cylinder would still be cheaper. And your parts, I assume you've already bought the pistons and ring packages for your current cylinder finish?

How bad is it ? Could it just be honed ? If not, Im with noslo. I have a '69 351 block in the same condition. I plan on sleeving it too when the time is right. Which would be now,but I just bought a sportsman block 347.
