just curious, where does the other $3300 go?
100 tickets at $75 = $7500....s/c is only $4200.....where is the rest going? With allt he extra money made, shipping is still the responsibility of the winner?

just asking, because i could easily do the same thing....go ahead and buy the s/c with the money taken from tickets, send the s/c to the winner, and pocket the rest.

not crapping on your thread...just seems there arent enough details. it sounds like a money making scheme from where i am sitting.

We weren't sure which charity we were going to support until after we posted it. MDA will be getting the rest of the money over the cost of the supercharger. We will only keep 100.00 to cover costs of site maintenance & advertise expenses.

We are a dealer for Whipple, Procharger, Vortec, Turbonetics, and more.

That sounds fair. You should post that kind of info up when you do something like this.

What boggles me is, so many people are so concerned with how much money we draw for a product that only costs 4200.00 And they are only spending 75.00 for one ticket to win. We have to pay for promotions, advertising, site maintenance, Magazine ads, and a few other expenses. Granted, we have other advertisers pay for the ads we run & we slip this into the ads so it don't cost us anymore.

I would think people would just be happy to get a supercharger for buying one ticket. 75.00 investment = 4200.00 supercharger. Hmm. How cares how much more everyone else paid, I only paid 75 & won. Woohoo!!
Just my thought & question. Not complaining, just curious what people are thinking & why. I'm always curious. Helps knowing so I can place better ads to draw more customers.

To me, it is very important when doing something like this, and advertising it, that the following is mentioned..."a portion of the proceeds are going to XXX charity" if infact that is whats happening. it will draw in more people who are willing to donate to a charity, and/or knowing that some of their money is going to a good cause. not feeding someones pockets. As stated before, everyone could do that if they wanted to. Without mentioning charity and or where the other money is going, it makes people think that it could just be making your, or whoevers pockets fat.
me personally, i will never EVER participate or enter a raffle in which charity is not involved. No charity = money making scheme. plain and simple.
The bottom line is, i get invoved with alot of charity type events/raffles etc. it is extremely important to mention your intentions as well as the charity name, and provide proof that x amount of $$ will infact be donated to this charity, mainly because this is the internet...we dont know you or your business.

    I can see that point.
With all the posts in this thread, you can see the excess funds will be going to MDA. Minus 100.00 for web stuff we need to cover.
We have 4 tickets sold already.

I have no idea of milage. All stock.

If they were forged internals, I wouldn't offer at 200.00
