    Default thinking of buying.

I have been thinking of buying a newer mustang here for the last couple of months. I found a 03 GT that I like other than it has cloth seat but that ok. I wanted to trade my 88 lx 5.0 in for the down payment but also have beent thinking of just selling it my self. What do you guys think.

You'll get more money selling the 88LX yourself than doing a trade in. Some dealers won't take a car in trade that old for used car. An 03 GT sounds nice.

Yeah on a trade you'll probably only get 500- 1000 bucks for it.sell it outright. What do you want for it ?

Sell privately if possible. Some dealers tried to run down the value of my trade by downgrading its condition, when it was clean as a whistle and ran perfectly. Made me mad because I've treated every Mustang in my driveway with extreme TLC.

My GT's got cloth seats - leather wasn't in the budget, but now that I'm trying to speed it up, am glad not to have a few extra pounds of leather to worry about. So there are advantages to the cloth.
