    Default Steering column?

Im starting to get that squeeking sound that Mustangs have been known for. It happens when I turn, hit a bump and is on the left front side...Im pretty sure it means my steering column is broken cause thats what happened on my moms 96 stang....Any ideas besides the one I have come up with and what all would I need to fix it

Broken steering columns? That a new one for me. How did you mom's fail?

Sounds more like worn bushings to me.

it was bushings on my car too. i could hear it sitting still just by turning the steering wheel. it could also be heard hitting bumps.

I'm not sure how my moms failed...all I heard is that her steering column was messed up, I think she love tapped a curb or something....

How much would it cost to have the bushings replaced? im just curious cause Im really busy now adays and dont have time to spend in the garage fixing the problem and its buggin the crap out of me.
