    Default Waxing for the winter...

I dont know much about waxing.. I mean. .I know how to wax and what not.. I just dont understand some things...

I guy gave me scratch remover... its a wax like rubbing compound.. I dont remember when im supposed to use it.. Am I supposed to put it on before I wax the car... and then wax the car...... or wax the car... and then put it on... I guess he said that scratch remover actually adds more scratches (smaller) and then you add wax to fill in the smaller scratches... does this make sense?

Yea it does i have some of this but on a dark car it does not work. At least not for me it does not. I put it on before the wax then wax then buff over it and it was still there then i would take it and put it on after wax then you have a weird spot. so i woudl put it on before the waxlet it sit then wax her down.

The order would go like this...Heavy cut polish->Fine cut Polish->Swirl remover->glaze->wax

Sounds like you were given a swirl remover. Leave nothing on the car before applying wax. Most decent swirl removers and glazes are designed to be applied by machine, not by hand.

You should, you own a dark colored car. Drive that sucker daily for a few years, you'll get the hang of machine polishing
