Default My wife has a new Beater

I aquired a new vehicle for the wife and she is already drinving around with it. THIS IS A GREAT EVENT IN MY LIFE.

Let's just give a little background. I love my wife very much, but I don't like her all that much. I am perfectly honest about myself, I have my imperfections, and will make fun of them, and she does too.

So anyways, I digress. This car is perfect for her. It is the BEST BEATER she has ever had. We have owned 4 cars for her in the last year!! They have either died because of mechanical, or accidents.

This all BOILS down to one thing. My Mustang, My sweet, sweet Mustang is free of the following

    1. No more driving down dirt roads. She thinks that the Mustang is a MUDDER. The car from last night looks like it participated in a tracter pull.

    2. Interior will be clean. Seems that the back area of the car is a great trash can. Last time I cleaned, I found McDonalds bags, fries under the seats, and misc crap that deserves a final resting place in a trash can and not my car.

    3. Those scrunchie things and hair band thingies around the shifter.

    4. The Center columnn storage will no longer be filled with used candy bar wrappers or empty packs of cigs. It was used as a reserve trash can area.

    5. No more having to readjust the seat for about 5 minutes at 05:55 to get the seat to what feels comfortable for me.

    6. No more trunk filled with what ever is from where-ever. Last time I was toting around cloths ment for some place. You should have seen her pull up to the house with a 12 foot ladder hanging out of the back of the trunk.

    7. No more RAP MUSIC on the radio that was played the night before from driving the kids here or there.

    8. No more door dings because she CANNOT comprehend the fact that DO NOT PARK next to no one does not mean that parking near the cart return area is SAFE.

    9. IF IT IS ON THE ROAD, IT IS MEANT TO BE HIT. If there is a pothole, if there is a tree branch, if there is a dead dog, it will see the tires.

    10. The drink holder in the middle is not meant to hold liquids. Containers with liquids in them yes, not a 1/2 inch of crusted materials.

Thank GOD my Mustang has lasted.

That's funny computerguy, I think we live parallel lives. But my wife isn't really "capable" of driving my car.

I frequently find myself wondering..."is Greg Hudnall gonna have to choke a bitch?"

At the same time, couldn't imagine life without the wife either. Go figure.

That's a life lesson I learned way before I was married,As long as
I can remember I've always had a beater car to drive in the winter..
Some $300.00-500.00 beater, some of them down right ugly..some
of my former girlfriends and later my wife would be embarrassed to
ride in..My buddies understood though..seems every winter we would
see who could find the ugliest beater to drive..We'd pile in one every
weekend and cruise around, party,go off roadin,or hit garbage cans
in some alley....come spring We would dust off our real cars and cruise
through the summer....those my friends, were fun times..ahhh,the memories..

Sounds like you had a bit of fun. Her Beater is a 92 Plymouth Laser SR. Has 100,000 miles on it and it runs like a champ. Looks great too. Sunroof, all electrical, etc.

Blue in color and has some mild oxidation. WE completely detailed it and it looks like new. Not a bad buy for $500

In my case, it's my husband who drives the beater (see link below for pic). And he only drives my Stang when he takes it to work to service it. I won't drive his car. But since I quit smoking, it's amazing how much cleaner the inside of the Stang is and stays.
