Intrument cluster

hey guys whats up. I got a Canadian Instrument CLuster on my stang and it say kilometers> I wanted to kno if i can just buy guage faces and put it over them or do i have to buy a new cluster! Let me know what u guys think!

you need a new cluster because it has to be calibrated for MPH

well...the install is pretty easy...the cluster is plug n play so you disassemble the dash, pull the cluster out, plug it in, and throw it back on...they sell the white faced clusters at mustangs unlimited in manchester CT...i'm sure you know where it is. they also have a core refund too, so you get some money back

i'm pretty sure you'll be fine since it is the speedometer and odometer that is calibrated electronically

Just before I answer I want to make sure.

Your question is will the speed be right if you change the guages to ones with MPH instead of KM/h right?

For example Mac white faced guages?

yup just the guages will work fine. Best thing is to pickup some mac white faced guages, They are in miles and look sweet. I know those will work 100% but the stock ones should too.

They dont have to be re calibrated cuz miles are the same as km's its just what the needles, point too. EG: if you look at your cluster in KM's youll see the little #'s that are in miles. Basicly the mac guages will be reversed, they will show the MPH in the big #'s and the KM's in the smaller.

This is what I would go with

They go for like $50

The guage face will be right on.

Being North of the boarder, my speedo prodominately displayed KMH. But when I put the reverse glows on, all MPH.

Cheap and good looking fix.

i have a good instrument cluster with a 140mph speedo all good working order 50 bucks
