What about when people intentionally try to stop you from coming over as your lane dwindles down to gravel? They see what's about to happen, but don't care if you get run off the road because they can't bear to give up an inch of headway.
I can tell they're planning to do this if they speed up to stay exactly parallel as we near the narrowed lane's end. Especially if the space in front of them is the only one for a long stretch of cars, making it the only chance to merge before running out of road.
Apparently they think my car is doing all it can to keep up with them, since they've held me at bay for the last 500 feet. And this assumption's amusing, but annoying.
I think they deserve to learn what happens when a Mustang's gas pedal actually gets pressed. They may also learn about the benefits of dent-proof windshield glass if they're foolish enough to have pushed me onto the pebble-filled shoulder.
