    Default tires and wheels

    what are the biggest size tires and wheels you can fit on the rear end of a 99 mustang gt with out any modifications?

    width, my dad (martimus88) wants the widest possible tires on the rear end of his mustang and wanted me to find out what that would be.

    As far as I understand a 315 should be fine, although putting it on the stock wheel is not a good idea. I've heard of people putting them on 9in wheels, but I'd say a 9 1/2 or 10in wheel is the safest bet on that size tire.

    I have 10 in the back of mine with no issues.

    One of the guys at the dealership has 10 inch on his 99 with no problems

    Also It depends on the exhaust. I know some people have some rubbing issues with a 315 on mac exhaust but others dont.

    he has the stock exhuast on it and doesnt plan on changing it out so it will not be a problem either.

    I think it also depends on how thick the tire is and if it is droped.
