    Thumbs down 05's v6 <thumbs down>

Well i officaly have to say that every v6 05 stang i have seen has tried to race me. Was wondering if this has happend with everybody else. Pisses me off when i see one at a light and give them the thumbs up and they rev there engine and want to race. I guess the new body style makes them think they are better than any 04 or older mustang? I like the new stangs but the attitude is pretty crappy

Actually the 0 to 60 times of the new GT are in the 5.3 second range. That's faster than any '99 ~ '04 GT (stock).

They're only about 100 lbs heavier if I remember correctly, but their powerband is more ample, and peak HP is 45 more.

The V6 is a different story altogether. They're probably just messing around, doesn't mean they think they'll beat you, they just wanna play.

I'm sure there's a few of them that may think different, though.

Variable valve timing in the Gt means fatter torque curve which translates directly to quicker acceleration.

It's a stout car off the showroom floor. The more I see of them around town, the more I like their new look.

5.0 owners may recognize that the new V6 is only 5hp shy of the old pushrod rating, only the 5.0 had a lot more torque, which is what really counts.
