need some ideas
I just got done putting in a whole new exhaust sytem (old manifolds crapped out) and put in bbk headers with some high flo cats and dual flowmaster 40's also i just bought a diablo programmer for my 6er also and was seeing what other people would suggest i should go next for performance.

Save up for a blower/turbo... no other mod will put a smile on your face like a power adder. Go browse http://www.supersixmotorsports.com website... thats where its at.
-
Yeah for the sixxer no bolt-ons will make any good amount of power, go with a power-adder. If not that then a gear change and T-lock diff. would be best.
-
i was looking for the gear changes next one of the last few before i really save up any ideas on a what type of gear and t-lock to get
-
Ford Racing 4:10 gears and t-lock, bearing and install kit, and have it installed at a good shop. Cost me $275 for the install. If you don't have a cat-back system you might want to think about that. Dual exhaust is nice to have, mostly for the sound.
-
Yeah originally I did get the cat-back system put on in the first place but the place I took it to didn't do a really good job on it and rushed it so when I would drive down the road you would hear the pipes hit the diff and also they had to bend some pipes and it was sitting a couple inches from my fuel line so I took the car back and complained about the problem so they gave me dual exhaust system with flomaster 40's and the pipes ford makes that are already have the bends in them for mustang.
-
Yeah that's what I have on my v6. But seriously, get the gears if you wanna go faster.
-
Alright here is the question I what type of gears would be good for good to to faster but also give me some gas milage still I use it as a highway car as well
-
i have 3.27 in my 98 cobra and get 26ish on the interstate and prob 18 flogging it around town, my old 90lx had 3.55 and wa a good gear for road driving and had more outta the hole than my cobra and i got around 21 if i remember right, and i built a 427 outta a 351 windsor for a friend and we put that in a 87 foxbody and i think it got gallons to the mile with 4.56 lol
-
The old saying still goes, 4:10 for automatics, 3:73 for manuals. For some reason I got 3:73 gears for my auto sixer, I thought 4:10 might be a little much. But I wish I had gotten the 4:10's. I got 21.5mpg, which isn't that good. But it's not the gears that made the gas mileage bad. Dont fear the gear. I would say go for 3:90 gears but they don't make them for the 7.5 as far as I know. Just find you a good set of Ford Racing 7.5" 3:73/4:10 28 spline gears, a Ford Racing 7.5" 28 spline T-Lok, a programmer (Diablosport or SCT), and install/bearing kit, lay down a little less than a grand, and then lay the whoop-down on some lesser vehicles.

Next upgrade should be a supercharger - best bang for the buck.
-
Nitrous & Supercharger... replace the other parts as they break or fall off
