Please give me some feedback on if you think it was a good deal or not. I can take critisism as well as what you would mod first. Keep in mind this car is bone stock with 84,000 miles. Any feed back will be greatly appreciated.
Oh I forgotit has a 650 Holley Double pumper Carb. Other than that the moter seems stock and guess what...... the A/C even works.

We sold our '83 5.0 'cert a couple years ago, and really miss it!
No need for a double pumper, I would swap it for something more driver friendly.
We put an Edelbrock Performer intake and carb on ours and it worked really well with the stock engine.
Swapped in a later model trans crossmember so we could use a set of late model Fox headers with an OR H pipe and a Flowmaster cat back.
Wasn't the fastest, but it averaged 17 MPG and was really reliable!

Seems like you got a good deal to me. I would go with exhaust like meneep said. You need true duals,to take advantage of future mods. A good intake would be a good choice too.Your shortblock(unless it's been changed)doesnt have valve reliefs in the pistons,but I think you can still bolt on a set of 87-93 E7TE's without problems.That will help you out alot.I think I have 2 sets of them in the shop,but they are fairly easy to find ,and cheap for what they will do for you.If you think you may want to do this I will be more than happy to check and see if it will work for you,and how big of a cam you can use if you do.Just send me a message to let me know. If it's driven alot I would go with a vacuum secondary carb(I would get a holley). The one you have will work great,and is a little more performance oriented,but milage may suffer.If you satisfied with the MPG you get now.Keep it. Good luck !!

Well after "I" drove it last night I found out the first mod. A new clutch/pressure plate and probably from the sound of it fly wheel. My wife aint much a clutch tester outter and as soon as I drove it I knew it was shot. oh well If thats all I have to change then I am happy.

Well there just went 300.00. lol I got the King Cobra clutch/PP/ TOB/ and a new pilot bearing. Now it looks like I am going to have a busy week end.
id go with a lowering kit first. that thing is HIGH!! then, yes, exhaust. looks good man. congrats.
The 83 looks awesome. I don't like the rims or tires, but the paint looks excellent and under the hood is nice. That car was definitely well maintained. Enjoy it!
Yeah I honestly aint too crazy for the rims either but they will work till I get something else. What kind of rims do you suggest???? I was thinkin maybe some drag lites or something.

Very nice find. If you're doing the clutch I would suggest changing the clutch cable while you're at it. If it's original it's probably dried out.
already on top of that but this one seems pretty new. I think when the last owner had it when they changed the clutch they changed everything. the pilot bearing was new,flywheel,clutch/PP, TOB everything looked new. If only they would have changed the input shaft bearing seal it would have lasted. The cable is bigger than normal but it is not adjustable so I will probably need to get a new quadrant and adjuster. Thanks though for the advise.
