i just wanted to know what other v6's were running...if you dont feel like typing your miles per hour thats fine i was just wondering your 1/4 times
mine is a 14.05 at 100 mph....thats my best and before i got my gears and wider tires havnt ran it again yet
What mods do you have? A supercharger? I don't know what you have but you would have to have h/c/i and gears to reach that unless you have a GT.Quote:

ya think im lyin check out my website its got picks and i do have gear 3:73's dual flowmaster exhaust and now i have ported upper and lower intakes from supersix motorsports and new super heads and cam also from super six and im bout to put snow performance's boost cooler on it so my old times wont be shit once i run again....o and i forgot to tell ya now im runnin 15 pounds of the boost passin through the 3 stage intercooler instead of 11, smaller pully's do wonders :naughty:Quote:

Well hmmm. 16.7 @ 83 MPH BUT I that is with only a reflashed chip, Headers,and a CAI. I just bought a posi lok, 3.73 gears, AND an Eaton M90 soon as I get all that stuff built and installed I hope to break 14's ( I will only be running about 5 maybe 6 pounds of boost due to the fact that I have stock internals.)
i ran 13.9 on a 100 shot of nitrous before the turbo

Will do. My eaton is off a 95 supercoupe and my stang is a 95 so everything should mate up nicely. Plus I am custom porting and polishing it before I put it on.
Bone stock at 6500 feet. I ran 17.1@81mph with like 1.8 RT (THE R.T. SUCKS) but is was my first time only a K&N FIPK.
Just to let ya know. First off I am NOT trying to make you feel stupid. Just letting you know what works best for me. On a regular(non-pro) tree you should hammer it as soon as you see the third yellow. Make sure your rev is at the optimum rpm. You will never red light and your reaction times should drop down around .2 .1 .0 something. I had the pleasure of getting trained by a proffessional before I hit the track. Also make sure you hit your shift points exactly on time as your bracket times count on it. (in the drag world we are all working toward a perfect bracket time. And remember it doesn't matter how slow or fast your run but how close you are to your dial in. Yes I listed 16.7 but That was over 6 months ago. Many mods and practice has happened since then.

I think this was for me. Hey thanks for the advice, I'm racing in whats called a club clash ill hit all the test and tunes i can before the next race. The people i race with have said the same thing. Im running OEM tires and I get allot of wheel spin.
i took my 05s out on saturday only did 4 runs too damn hot and slippery..
anyways my V-6 is stock, expect for the muffler which i swapped out for a GT muffler.
my best time was 15.50 at 89.67 mph, i didnt shift fast enough out of 2nd gear and hit the rev-limiter..
it was my first time on the track
Hey great job Kev and as for you spark I am glad that you are listening to the guys where you race. That is the best way to get good. My first run ever was an 18.8 and I burned my streets off going down the track. I whittled it down. My fastest reaction has been .013

these are my best from 2 weeks ago at the Las Vegas Drag stip... running at Midnight Mayhem (a open event for any car... kinda like a test and tune, but w/o much track prep.) i was on stock tires, going bald tires, and kept spinning through my 60'... this week im putting my friends Dr's on and hope i can see a 15.1 or 15.2
my mods..... BBK cai, Ported/Polished-upper & lower intakes, ported Throttle body. MAC long tube headers, true dual w/no crossover goin to 40 series flows.
14.2 all motor :D
my best run stock with my 06 v6 was 15.4 @ 91.5 MPH. :beerchug:

16.7 @ 83.xx my best r/t was a .062 my second night out at the track.
Not to bad for a auto vert. I have a UDP, K&n drop-in and dual exhaust.
16.051 @ 88.9 with CAI and Flowmaster dual exhaust.
01 i don't understang how you can have a practically identical time with 1/4 the mods i do. I just don't understand. You are auto right?

yeah go back and see if anything changes. I can consistantly run 16.1's with an occasional 16.0. my other question is are you rolling on the throttle or are you pre-launching it reved up?
I Rev it up to about 1500 rpm when the stage light comes on. Any more rpms than that and the tires (only the rear passenger side back then) would start to break loose. Sometimes I spin a little off the line. Recently I've been getting some "axle hop" or something and have to battle to regain traction for the first 60ft, but since I haven't been back to the track I don't know how much it is hurting my times. I know that I raced a Bank's turbo'd diesel that runs mid-low 15s consistently and it was dead even for about a 600ft race even with the traction problems.

i rev up to about 1750-1800 before it starts to spin. I have cured the wheel hop by just getting the tires a little warmer and it sticks way better. The wheel hop cost me about 2 tenths on the 1/4 overall.
Some control arms will stop the hop,and drop some time.
Coopdog, throw a polished supercharger on it.

well i went back to the track today. I used my diablo predator tuner and advanced the timing 1.5 degrees and richened it up and it ran a 16.128 2nd time out. I never got to do another pass due to a heater hose breaking. But if i had let it cool down, by the time it cooled off later in the night it would have ran 15.9's. So hopefully next time it will run after i replace the hose.
I ran a 15.3 @90.52 in the 1/4 with a tuner axle back and CAI.
New time of 15.85 @ 86mph, (used to be 16.0 @ 88mph) Would have been up to two tenths better but I was spinning off the line and the tires broke loose when the car shifted from first to second. Probably could have gotten a 15.7 run out of it that night but without some drag slicks/ or no spin, 15.8 is bout has good as it's going to get for a while.
I seen a stock Saturn ION run a 16.2 lol
