what are u lookin to do
its just a post asking what your best mod is so far lol
Looks wise... prolly the lowering springs... perf... prolly the nitrous.
Lowering springs 100%
before the supercharger, I would definately say my gears. Woke up the DOHC and it would get into the power band a whole lot faster
I yanked out the 4 banger, and put in a V-8!
Stroker kit, but then maybe gears, no it was heads, wait, the cam...
Who am I kidding? It musta been the window tint, 5% all around...That's something everyone on this board can relate to, not so sure some of you know how to open your hoods...
I can! Probably the gears or the new shifter performance wise. Appearence wise, I'd say the bodykit or the rims.Quote:

i agree with thunderbolt64 yanking the 4 cyl. and putting a V8. and the nx kit :nxnos:
Welcome to the thread fellow wrench turners! I take comfort knowing there are a few who can do it themselves...
Maybe we should form our own club within Gotstang?:)
yanken the 2v out and put in a 4v plus nx
the CAI i built from scratch, but im collecting the parts needed for the Supercharger install that im doing myself.
K&N FILTER, opened the SC to a whole new sound and added a good 30rwhp!

Maybe a good 5rwhp?
Not on an 03/04 Cobra, 25hp is quite common. 5 hp for a n/a car is more typical.
I got a new best mod...
Wrapping a '00 V6 car body around my '95 drivetrain
:lol:Quote:

I really like all of the custom parts i have made, but I suppose that my favorite mod would be my intake.

As far as what, Engine, Suspension etc. I think the best is Subframe Connectors, but that is just me. :beerchug: Matt

When N/A it was a gear and tire. Now, supercharger and bigger tire.
As far as what? The best on mine is the subs and rear control arms.
Matt :beerchug: :thumpupn:
Without a doubt the PI intake manifold. Good LORD it made a huge difference. For you guys who have the pre 99 4.6 GT's, do this mod NOW. It's not that difficult if you follow the directions and take your time. It took about 4 hours to complete but 3 hours of that was trying to find out how to make the water coolant pipe fit. I've taken the guess work out if you check out page 2 of my gotstang webpage.
The intakes can be found on ebay and forum classified for under $150. Not much to ask for 35 hp eh? :thumpupn:
Looks wise, gotta say my Mach 1 chin spoiler  (pics coming soon!!)
As far as performance, havent had the money to do anything major, CAI is on the way!!!
4.10s
pro-chamber & gears!
Those are good for asthetic gains...not much else.Quote:

Another good mod is a set of underdrive pulleys and a custom burned chip. And by custom burned chip, I don't mean some off the shelf $200 pos that you get online, I mean, take it to a dyno shop and have someone physically take the data from your runs and burn a chip for YOUR car. It may cost $400~$500 for it but it's worth every penny. Especially since every time you add a mod, the shop would be able to just overwrite a new program.
Don't waste your time with nitrous either. It's a good bang for the buck and can be wonderful if INSTALLED PROPERLY, but bottle refills get expensive and add up over time and eventually after about a year of bottle refills plus the cost of the kit itself and install price, you could have had a nice supercharger that never needs refilling.
Which is why I'll never be adding nitrous to any car I buy. It's instant gratification but over time, a real waste of money.
Just get gears. I took off half a second off my E.T. with my 3:73's. ($200 plus install)
