I'm thinking about you guys, if you can leave, do it... if not, like poor Tweety, just stay as safe as you can! And think positive, Rita might still take a turn up this way!
If anyone needs to store a car in the safe north, send your cars up to me. Good lukc, hope you guys are ok.
shes gonna be a mean one. Bad thing is, we are gonna have couple more take some of the same tracks. High pressure should keep it away from LA , but Texas is gonna get hit hard. take cover, and if you need a place to chill lemme know.

For anyone thinking about riding this storm out, forget it and leave.
As of 10pm, Rita is now the third strongest storm ever recorded and it has two more days to gain strength before making landfall.
This storm is stronger than Katrina. Winds are 175mph and pressure has fallen to 897 millibars and its only gonna get stronger.

They haven't evacuated us here yet. We are at the bottom tip of Texas. They say it will be turning going up but as of this moment I still see it coming straight.Tweety, Sublime and to all of you up there take care.I am still just watching and getting ready to leave incase it decides to come this way. :nailbite:
God Bless Us All!!!!
I can't even image how frightning it must be down there, and just like how the BlackMustangClub.com opened there hearts and homes, I see it happenining here. What a fanatastic group of people!!!! Is it mustangs? does this make us more compassionate? Or are we all good people at heart and love to help our fellow mankind. I'm honored to be associated with people that give a damn!
Sincerely, Tim, Canadian + American friends forever.

Tweety, got the garage ready for our cars to get to know each other and got the beer and rum ready. :beerchug: Going tonight to fill up all the vehicles...predictions now is that gas could get as high as $5/gallon, and get munchies in case the power goes out. I am 35 miles outside of Austin and they are predicting that we will get Cat. 1/2 winds with maybe 2-6 inches of rain. Who knows, but we will be prepared! Going to be crazy, but we will at least be safe and Tweety's car and mine will be safe in the garage. :thumpupn:
Good for you Stang Girl, thats a lot better than her staying down there trying to ride that thing out. Sounds like a Party in Bastrop!Quote:

Them and another friend and his spouse will be staying with Stang Girl and I till this blows over, I will prolly also go and help them both asses the damages as soon as thier ready to head back home, and allow them to hang out till they get rebuilt and on thier feet.
Please keep them and everyone else in your prayers as they will need it.

best of luck to all from every GS member north of the border. :beerchug: hopefully it wont be as bad as they make it out to be,cat 5 is nothing to laugh at though.i think you had better get out while you can.....scott
What kills me the most is the thought of them loosing everything they have worked so hard for.
We pray for the best.
Glad to hear it. I was worried about Tweety and everyone out that way. I gave Tweety this website address that we (the Air Force) use to track the hurricanes: http://www.boatus.com/hurricanes/tracking.asp it is a pretty good site. So hopefully it will help some of you. Do not take chances you life is more important.Quote:
