fox body vacume question
can someone tell me if the vacume line from the EGR goes to the EVR, and can you take a picture of it? I had a vacume line wrong on the EGR causing an surging idle, which is because I have the wrong vacume hooked up.
so; can somone tell me where at the EVR the EGR vacume line goes?
Here's a picture of my EVR, notice there is several vacume lines that go to a connector piece, and one spot on the connector piece is not used, could this be where the EGR vacume line goes?

(see here the white, red and green vacume lines are? and the one spot not used...is this where the EGR vacume line goes to?

It's been a long time sinse mine was hooked up, but I can tell you that if you have a vacuum guage you need to look for the port that has no vacuum at idle and then increasing vacuum during throttle sinse that's what the egr needs to work correctly. Also ford used to have a TSB way back in the day for surging idle that was related to that solenoid, I believe they had an updated solenoid...hope that helps a bit...

well, I just ran the vacume line from the one spot that had no vacume line hooded up (in the 4 way pc)
it's either good
or, it's not working at all
either way, no surge so I'm happy
