That is sad. Our prayers go out to the young mans family.
wow..sad.
wow why was he driving a stang at such a young age
Maybe this is a hint for all those 17 year olds with cobras.
Maybe this is a hint to all those who drive beyond their skills.Quote:

its always very sad when that happens, we had 3 fatal accidents within 2 weeks about 3 or 4 months ago with kids racing, we had a big crackdown from the cops and now they are starting to relax again, it just leads to trouble...
My thoughts and prayers go out to that kids family. There was no reason for im to be going 120mph+
was just thinking the same thing... ;) (now we're gonna face death by skittles) :gay:Quote:

although, I've seen some pretty bad (and some of them fatal) wrecks in things such as Saturn sedans, Ford Escort stationwagons, and anything else you could imagine that isn't supposed to go fast...being driven by young kids.
it can happen in any vehicle, but it is a fact that driving a performance vehicle will probably tempt you 10 fold over the rest of them to do something stupid or it can impair your judgement during the adrenaline rush...
exactly.Quote:

Its not what type of car you drive at what age. I am 19 and have drove my cobra for a while and before that i had a built LS1 ( In high school ) So age has nothign to do with it. I think it involves a lot of thinking about what you are doing and being mature about things. People who do 120 when it rains are asking for it. I feel sad for the family. It is things like this that make the people not want to give there kids a sports car will they are 30. Which i think is one of the best thrills you can have in life. Next to something else. My thoughts go out to the family and friends of that young one.
Wow, talk about a mature statment, and you're only 19. That, ladies and gentlemen is:Quote:

only reason he died is cause he's too much of a pvssy to keep control @ 120

i have been up to 145 in mine... not the smartest idea i've had that's for sure... but why the f*ck drive a stang if you don't want to know what it feels like past 130.
i KNOW most ppl on the forum with a GT or better have been past 130... and some have been well past it. yeah, it's stupid but so is bungee jumping and scuba diving. always precautions you can take to prevent eating it:
-drive on a long strait road w/ no traffic...
-make sure you have good tires
-make sure you know exactly when your strait road starts to end and give yourself plenty of braking room and then some to expect a brake failure
-don't go all out in one day.. own up to it a lil.
-don't do it the first year you drive a stang... took me a while to get confortable @ speed
i don't drive like a f'ing retard... actually a couple ppl on this board who have rode w/ me have said to me that im an outstanding driver... i learned from experience. been in real sticky situations and then some.
sucks for the parents family... but i'm just being realistic
oh yeah btw im only 18
u jerk offQuote:

Ummm Most people who can even afford a sports car are way above the age of 16.. unless they have help. and that is the point... so they have time to get EXPERIENCE behind the wheel. I dont care what you say.. someone who just gets their license is not going to understand how to drive a high powered vehicle as well as an older driver. And more experience doesnt ALWAYS mean you are older.. but it usually the norm.Quote:

man that sucks... anyway you could get the rear brake caliper guide pin dust boots off ? I really need 4 of them.
thats horrible.. do u guys have a drag strip near by? if so that might help som ewith the street racing
How about if your gonna drive a sportscar, mandatory performance driving schools, I think we should really tighten up our drivers education requirements because of the idiots we have on the roads today (all cars not just teenagers in sports cars). IMO performance driving schools would be fun to go to!!!
too bad that didnt happen to the girl who passed me with a silver mustang yesterday....the roads were fuckin shitty, hell if im racing in wisconsin in january...fuckin women drivers!!!!!!!!!
uh mr eastwood, i would be careful of what u say.
im just kiddin around...if you cant handle it you should really get a sense of humor.
this kid, IMO, got what he deserved...at least he didnt kill any innocent people. If he would have survived he wouldnt have been driving again for a long time, which would have been a very good thing. I think the same about people who drive drunk and kill innocent people or kill themselves.
Any fool can go 120 MPH but it takes experience to to be in control at 120MPH.
