carb help

need some help my 76 cobra ii, i just build a 347 stroker for it and it was running fine then i got sick and was in the hospital for 10 months so a few days ago i went to start it and the back float keeps sticking i put on another bowl and float and needle valve and when i go to start it fuel comes out of the vent tube, thanks for any help, CAR9FAN

Sounds like the carb got varnished up sitting for 10 months (with fuel in it) - you have other stuck items inside.

Sounds like a complete rebuild is what your carb is looking for.

Taken apart and clean atleast
