Hi!
My name is Denise, otherwise known as Mustanggirl03. I am a nurse (RN) & was brought up with my brothers to know how to fix a car. When I was a teenager I tore down & rebuilt a carburator, packed wheel bearings, replaced rotors, distributor caps, plugs, wires & just general maintenance. As you can tell by the list of car parts that no longer exist on modern vehicles--I'm an old fart. :nya: But, 99% tomboy. I have a t-shirt that says "Books, cats,cars--Life is good!" Damn straight! At 53 (almost 54) yrs old--I guess you can say I'm getting my second life by working on my stang. I have a 1995 Firebird convertible (my special baby) dark metallic purple, a 2005 Jeep Liberty, & my stang, 2003 convertible. My family doesn't understand why I need 3 cars--I tell them I dont NEED 3 cars, I WANT 3 cars!!! There's a difference. Purplebird is stored in bad weather & is hardly driven anymore. Only has 56,000 miles on her for being 12 yrs old & in mint condition. I want to give my husband a run for his money--he's totally rebuilding a 1962 VW Beetle to look like Herbie, so I thought I would redo my strip down model stang, just to show him what an old lady can do if righteously motivated--I'm very competitive. I told him I would be done with my car before he will & he started in May. :thumbup: :weakestli
