40th Anniversary Limited Edition GT Convertible 5 speed!
It's black with all the 40th anniv package accents (Arizona Beige stripes and Bullit wheels, interiors, silver interior accents, aluminum shifter bezel and pedals, 4 way adjustable headrests, and 40th interior badge)
Believe it or not that car had not sold yet, I bought it brand new off the show room on 12/31/04 (possibly the last Mustang/Ford sold in the US in 2004, because I finished signing all the paper work at around 9:45 PM PST)
My friend will be taking pictures of it with his Canon 20D camera sometime this week, so pics coming soon!
After doing some research, only 5700 40th anniversary editions were produced. They only came in Crimson Red (color only available in such package), Black, and Oxford White... Out of those, 4529 were Crimson Red, but I can't find figures on the Black and the White... Less than 1200 were Black or White, though... I wonder how many were black GTs :)
Anyways, I'm just stoked with my purchase and wanted to share the joy. It's a beautiful car and I think I will leave it completely stock and maintain it best I can. I will keep it even after I get my SC Cobra sometime in the next year.
Who knows, maybe some day it will be considered a collector's. hehe
Here's a site (from someone named Mike...) that shows what the vert 40th edition looks like in Crimson Red...

That'll give you an idea. Pictures don't do this car's tones any justice. In particular the color used for the stripes and the wheels (wheels don't look as "golden" in real life). The interiors are beautiful. Notice the larger headrests?
A quote from that site, which I agree with:
"When I first saw the 2004 Anniversary car in one of the Mustang magazines, I almost shit (oh wait, I was already in the process). What a stupid design! These Arizona beige stripes look horrible. Yes they do, in magazines. In the real world, they look sweet! If I bought one, the stripes were coming off. Now I do own one, and no, they are not!"
The top uses a soft material (feels like jeans), that is supposed to be more durable and insulate from noise better.
Anyways, I'll post pics as soon as I get them. Now I gotta update my avatar pic and profile. :thumpupn:
