As some know, my stock tranny is shot, my 2nd-3rd syncro is gone and i can tell the 1st-2nd is on its way out... instead of actually having it rebuilt w/ the same cheap parts ive decided to get a TKO 600... My question is this... Which TKO 600 would be better the Road Race or the regular i guess they have different 5th gear ratios also wheres the best place to get one? Summit? I know i need to get a bellhousing and a clutch as well so its never a cheap process but just looking for some opinions on either the reg 600 or the Road Race and also buying location

road race is probably not the best for a car that sees much freeway time. The lower 5th gear in the RR model is great for having close ratios between gears for smoother rowing of the gears in a long road course but for the street I'd probably go with the .6 OD model. If you trap over 120mph in the 1320 the RR version is not a bad idea in that circumstance.

My cars a DD, right now im looking at the MMR Pro Trans 750 which is their built tko 500 so its got the good 5th gear ratio, im just wondering how this tranny would work with rear gears? im looking at 3.73 gears, im hoping this will go well together

I think Hank might be getting at a 500 would be enough for you unless your making a whole lot of power. Plus save a little $$. If you plan on building a forged shortblock and putting a nice power adder on it go for the 600. You will want the regular version,if you drive much.
