Ever get a tool just because its possibilities seem like a whole lot of fun, even if you've no specific project in mind? After I buff out the curb scratch on my wheel :cussing: , there's no telling what's going to get engraved, carved or drilled on this car. I'm bored, it's warm outside -time for a creative project! :inlove:

Dremels are great tools!!! I find all kind of uses for mine

Well, I'm open to ideas, because all I've come up with so far is carving "American Metal" in big cursive letters all across the dash.

Mom wanted me to engrave "England Prevails" on something for her. Last week, she had the gall to ask why I had to wax my car, as if caring for it were a complete waste of time, so I refused her that favour.

Just kidding - I haven't carved up anything yet, but this tool is just buzzing with anticipation at the thought! ;>

Yeah the Dremel rocks, I have three of them. Collector of the dremel tool haha.

we can't find our dremel right now....err...it was supposed to be somewhere convienient...and turns out it's lost temporarily

btw; J didnt you end up fixing your rims by hand???

i used my dremel on a few of the wheel lips of my Saleen rims to remove slight curb rash & it worked great! couldnt live without it :-)

91gt331... don't tempt me, I'm likely to do it, LOL!

Luckily just a few inches of the outer lip got scraped in a thin strip; not anything really huge and noticeable. So the scratches are smoothed down, but will probably have to get metal polish to make it shiny on the strip of sanded area, because now it's a matte finish.

The only tip I used so far was a little conical reddish (aluminum oxide?) one. There's probably a softer one for shining things up, just have to play around with my new toy box some more.
