You would see some decent gains, with all stock components though, you'll be limited in what you can accomplish. Expect around 120rwhp gain. My 5.0 with heads/intake/cam and all the bolt ons would make as much power as a stock 5.0 with a supercharger. Take my motor and supercharge/turbo...now you're talking 550-600rwhp (until the stock block splits in half anyway)

well once your car engine is buit for a power adder id say Turbo, better gains and more efficient (spellcheck)

Turbo, you'll love the ability to adjust your boost with the turn of a dial rather than worry about swapping out pullies when you want to up or down your boost :D

Consider building your block before adding a Turbo or supercharger...otherwise plan on buying a new block pretty soon when you put that on a stock bottom end. KabLEWIE

Frankly, on a STOCK 302, you'd be better off buying good heads/intake/cam/injectors/TB/MAF/and exhaust.

All of this would come in waay under the cost of any turbo kit, and comparable to most any s/c kit, would make better or equal power, be easier to tune, weigh at least 125lbs less, and be the perfect foundation for a forged 306/331/347 down the road.

Install on those parts + the price of the parts would run you way past the turbo or s/c cost....unless you are a mechanic and know how to install heads and cams and then tune it by yourself. Otherwise thats another cost...dyno tuning it with a burnt chip = 300 to 500$

Can you turn a wrench? This is a simple 8hr job (first timer) if you have the right tools.

Heads $1000
Intake $500
Cam $150
Rockers $220
MAF $200
TB $200
Inj $230
Tweecer $500
Timing chain $80
Gaskets $100

$3180 so far, easily capable of 300rwhp, still less than a s/c in cost. With the reduction in weight over a s/c, a much more fun to drive car.

Toss on some exhaust and you're set, power equal to a turbo or s/c setup on a stock engine, only with better performance all around.

a stock motor can handle up to 10lbs of boost daily, any more then that and its like on the old poncho motors, the bottom ends blow up. do a set of heads(or port and polish urs), nice long duration cam(gives a nice lope, and tear breaking at will), intake manifold, headers-cat-catback exhuast, and upgrade that ignition. i used to work for a guy who builds nothing but supercharged motors, i learn alot bout tuning motors and how to get more hp from simple mods. www.bigalstoybox.com
