My New Tattoo

OK Granny finally did it I got a Tattoo Yesterday. Here is a pic when I got home and removed the bandage. Not a good pic but will post some more in a day or so. The Artist said the Pony will look like its coming out of my Leg when it heals. kinda looks gross right now...LOL They said you have to keep it moist with this ointment for a few days. Any tips greatly appreciated. This is my 1st one.

I used alot of lotion on mine. They were correct, you need to keep it moisturized. You need to keep it out of the sunlight as much as you can until the scab comes off. I have one on each of my shoulders and can't wait to get another. Looks good.

Thanks!!! Well no Harm in being in Sunlight with all the snow we got, don't think I will be wearing shorts outside LOL... So far it isn't hurting or anything, but its only been 1 day so not really sure what to expect in the next few days!!

If it scabs up they went to deep. Just keep putting ointment on it. You should be fine.

Thanks everyone is giving me really good tips, I can't believe it doesn't even hurt at all yet...LOL I am so glad I finally went and had it done, took me forever to get the guts to do it.

wow, this is great to see! I will be getting another tatt in a week or so...not sure what i want yet though. A&D ointment will be your friend. Also, the pain part is over....so if you havent gotten any yet, you wont....but wait until it starts itching!! just try not to scratch it too much. then it will peel some...like sunburn. then you will really see and appreicate it when its healed! congrats!

Both of my tats scabbed up and peeled, but I was bleeding pretty good during both of them. I bleed very easily.

just keep putting ointment on it...I use A & D ointment, usually made for baby rashes but works great...it will probably peel a little bit, dont freak out, the tattoo will be lighter than it is right now and will fade just depends on your skin and how it does with ink, everyone is different...just keep putting lotion on it, should be healed fully by the end of the week..

Well no one tells this Granny what to do anymore, it looks really good now. But it is flaking a bit as some said it would...I love it!!!! :w00t: Not sure why I waited so long to get one though...LOL
