Alright its that time of year again and I am looking into getting some new tires on the stang...

Tire sizes are 265/35/18 Front
285/35/18 Rear

Need all input on what you like best etc....Tires need to have great dry weather traction for cornering but also need to have good wet driving ability as I live in the Seattle area....been looking at Pirelli, Nitto, Toyo and BFG...let me know what you recommend as well as performance downsides etc...

will be buying in the next 2 weeks or so :naughty:

That 285 width really narrows the scope of which tires you can choose from.

Going down to a 275 width on the rear tire will give you 36 tires to choose from instead of 15.

Of the 275 tires, I think getting the BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW 2 for under $200 a tire is a pretty good deal.

The new April 07 Modified Mustangs, page 46 rates high performance tires by treadwear. The Yokohama AVS ES100 would be my pick if I could get more tires - middle of treadwear chart and I like the Yokohama's cornering traction. Can't say how they handle in lots of rain though.

I put on some Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3's last fall. They are a good all around performance tire and they got some pretty good reviews if I remember right.

I've got Nittos, like them pretty good. I've been told the BFGs are better handling, but wouldn't last as long.
