before the supercharger, I would definately say my gears. Woke up the DOHC and it would get into the power band a whole lot faster

Welcome to the thread fellow wrench turners! I take comfort knowing there are a few who can do it themselves...

Maybe we should form our own club within Gotstang?:)

I surely hope you are joking. :looney:

Maybe a good 5rwhp?

Not on an 03/04 Cobra, 25hp is quite common. 5 hp for a n/a car is more typical.

Without a doubt the PI intake manifold. Good LORD it made a huge difference. For you guys who have the pre 99 4.6 GT's, do this mod NOW. It's not that difficult if you follow the directions and take your time. It took about 4 hours to complete but 3 hours of that was trying to find out how to make the water coolant pipe fit. I've taken the guess work out if you check out page 2 of my gotstang webpage.

The intakes can be found on ebay and forum classified for under $150. Not much to ask for 35 hp eh? :thumpupn:

CAI is on the way!!!

Those are good for asthetic gains...not much else.

If you want power, the first and easiest thing to do is to get an exhaust. Don't go cheap either. If you get a bassani or Dr. Gas exhaust, expect BIG time power gains. A magnaflow exhaust would compliment those really well.

Another good mod is a set of underdrive pulleys and a custom burned chip. And by custom burned chip, I don't mean some off the shelf $200 pos that you get online, I mean, take it to a dyno shop and have someone physically take the data from your runs and burn a chip for YOUR car. It may cost $400~$500 for it but it's worth every penny. Especially since every time you add a mod, the shop would be able to just overwrite a new program.

Don't waste your time with nitrous either. It's a good bang for the buck and can be wonderful if INSTALLED PROPERLY, but bottle refills get expensive and add up over time and eventually after about a year of bottle refills plus the cost of the kit itself and install price, you could have had a nice supercharger that never needs refilling.

Which is why I'll never be adding nitrous to any car I buy. It's instant gratification but over time, a real waste of money.

Just get gears. I took off half a second off my E.T. with my 3:73's. ($200 plus install)

His car has a different rear end axle ratio. It's not an 8.8 like the GT's. He'd have to do some searching around to get the right size gears.

Wow ...where to start.

Looks..Hood..functional cobra R

Driver comfort..(Non-Performance)Corbeau CR-1 seatd and B&M ripper shifter

N/A...Performance - Gears and Brake upgrade.

Then Supercharged....KB best bang for the buck.

Handeling - Griggs Pan Hard Bar and Steeda Strut Tower Brace..(I started with a S2 Roush, So Springs , Shock ,LCA's , Sway-bars ,Rims and Tires already done )

Hey roush, ever heard of evolutionmotorsport? They make the most amazing rear suspension setups for mustangs. Their watt's suspension and tri-link car beat a full griggs, full MM and full steeda suspension car in a track test closed to the media.

They had 4 bone stock gt's with each company's respected full race suspension. The EVM car had their watts, tri link, lower control arms, subframes, vogtland springs and koni shocks and struts.

Ended up beating the other cars by 3 or 4 seconds repeatedly. A good place to start would be their LCA's and tri link package if they offer a package. Their customer service is beyond what most expect and product quality is amazing.

The rear in my car is pretty much done. I dont drag the car so I am not looking to change anything more for a while. Next thing would be a Torque arm...But that will require me to change out my Aluminum DS.

Not all that fired up to chage out all that just yet. I still want some what of a nice street ride.

Looking into Guages and Fuel delivery now( Pump and new tank).

Screw the torque arm. the watt's linkage is far superior to the tq arm/pan hard bar. Track tested fact there. EVM has package deals if you buy a rear end kit, you save big bucks. And it's less expensive than what steeda, griggs and MM sells. If I had my stang again, I'd get the watts/tri-link.
