What he said, and may I say that the owner outclasses the car. :j:

well its on its 3rd repaint..

First guy tried to pass this off as a show quality paint job, I about killed him for ruining my car (trust me it was fucked and nothing like I had asked for graphics wise)

http://truckscene.net/images1/poopystangsig.jpg

So than I gave it to someone else to fix and we were going to go all out crazy as you can see from this drawing..

http://truckscene.net/images1/mustangflames.jpg

Then painter #2 who was working on the car decided to up and leave the shop and car then had to have the flames removed because they were not finished and no one could finish them so then the shop owner painted car and ruined it and did quite possibly a worse paint job than guy #1. So now car is back with painter #2 who had walked away and feel bad about it now so he is stripping it again and redoing the entire car, however not the flame pattern you see above, it will have realistic fire amongst other graphics..

Some may say I have bad taste, but before ya'll jump on me I show mini trucks and since I am selling my Ranger the stang will be my new show vehicle at the truck runs and mini truck style is waaaaay different than your everyday Mustang goes. ;)

well like I said won't look anything like the drawing I posted, but it will still have the HOK Sunset Pearl as the base, and will have silver, purple and darker tangerine (for the realistic fire) in there as well. The painter is a bad ass graphics artist and I'm sure as long as he dosen't get into any fights with the new shop he is at I'll have avery nice showy car in a couple of weeks.

IMO, flames only look good if:
a) the rest of your stang agrees with it... aka, lowerd, rims, non ricey body kit (saleen or roush)
b) some god of the painting world paints it
c) you have insane amounts of money to afford a well show-stopping paint job

i like the sketch tho, and hope you like the finished product!

a complete should normally take a month or two. This has been a bitch since I gave the car to the wrong people.. The painter who has it knows the stakes are high and it will be pretty much flawless and if it isn't car goes to eBay and I give up.. lol

it depends on what kind of job you want. a mask and paint will take 2-4 weeks. but for people know what they look for when they eye out a car, they will see tape lines etc. my paint job took 5 months. it involved taking the hatch, wing, doors, fenders, all lights, bumpers off. all the glass came out, as did the weather stripping. every piece was painted individually, the sills were painted. and everything was wet sanded in between coats of paint and clear, and the result was paint as smooth as a pane of glass...something you dont see anymore in paint jobs...but i also paid 4900 for the job. you can get away with taped up paint jobs for 2500.

all my glass was pulled, fenders removed ect.. I'll have about 10k into paint/labor when all is said and done (I'm not paying for all of that, I have a sponsorship on part of it)
