Unable to upload pics

Here is an interesting one -- Seems to happen later at night (it's 11:37 CDT now).

Try to upload a pic, create a subdirectory or even list them, and I get the following error:

Warning: this directory does not exist: /uploads/. Check that you have set IMAGE_FILE_DIRECTORY correctly in config.php. If you are using the set_img_dir function check that the you have set the $trusted_directories array correctly.

Some of my existing directories are mislabeled, or otherwise malformed.

I have been able to upload and do file maintenance in the morning (0800 CDT or thereabouts).

Wondering if some maintenance is happening on the server about midnight or so Eastern.

It seems that the problem cleared itself up between 0330 and 0400 Central time. Sounds like a process on the server. I'll keep an eye on it and see if I can obtain a start time.
