** You must upload 2 different angled images on each claim item you submit, THE PURPOSE IS ONLY TO SEE THE CLAIM IS NOT PHOTO-CHOP'D AND TWO "REAL" PICTURES. SIMILAR ANGLES OK IF THEY VARY ENOUGH TO PROVE THEY'RE TWO DIFFERENT SHOTS.
** You will not receive the points on the claim until 20 people verify it
** No multiple claims per item, I'm asking J to make this change: unless your claim is voted fake you may re-try with new pictures

I need to work with J to see what changes can be made, but in the mean time; If you're voting you must understand the rules, the different angles are ok if they're close as long as you can tell it's not the same photo cut down to size or photo-chop'd in some way. If you can tell someone was 1 foot to the left, THAN IT COUNTS. It just needs to show it was two different photo's and not the same one. This is a fact.

based on some other's input, I feel some claim titles should be changed from "next to" or "in front of" to something more broad like "with" or "near".

I also want the hunt thumbnail size to be bigger, maybe 300 px wide.

I agree with everything but this.... you have those lazy's who don't open the picture and only look at the thumbnail. IMO I think it should be smaller so that you HAVE to open the pictures to see the hunt item.

Seriously, though. Thumbnail idea is a good one. Although, I always open the pictures just to make sure they aren't UH.

I dont think people ever understood the point of 2 angled images.. lol... if you take 2 steps to the right or left and snap a photo that is perfectly fine. Just so we can tell its not photoshopped.

Two different angles does NOT mean taking two photos from the same spot. That's the same angle. If every hunt means just get it the picture somewhere, what is the point in doing the hunt at all? There's no real effort to get the picture. "Oh hey, there's an ice cream truck four blocks away, let me get a picture." Yeah, that's a fun hunt.

Just get rid of the fake button. Everyone vote valid and get your points is what you're saying. I get it.

Sometimes its hard to get next to, ex. if the new Shelby GT 500 is inside of the Dealership Window but you can get close to it from outside!!! So near would be a good example!!! The Hunt itself says With a New Shelby GT 500 so can it be near if its in the Dealership?

I think that is the fun... looking for the object. It becomes LESS FUN when people dispute the entire hunt if they didnt step 5 more steps to the right or left...

Also, disputing some hunts like YOU AND YOUR STANG AT A STOP SIGN are awesome.. because I see alot of those claims where all you see is the car at the stop sign and not YOU AND YOUR STANG. This is when Disputing is a good thing.

When I started Hunts there weren't problems, we got reasonable latitutde on Pics & it was FUN! This Spring, things changed, (new?) members either didn't read the rules or were lawyer wanna' bees, applying their own strict interpretations. Now, if you don't have pictures at the front & rear of your car (or left side, right side) disputers say its the "same angle"! The required item better be VERY VISABLE without opening the pics because disputers are too lazy to open 'em. If a Hunt say "NEXT TO" or "NEAR", you'd better be ON TOP OF the item to get credit (DISPUTERS ARE SEEMINGLY DOING THEIR OWN HUNT...hunting for ANY EXCUSE to vote "FAKE"). Because of disputers, I don't do hunts now, but vote (& point out disputer errors-but disputers don't read comments). Those of us who have ACTUALLY SUBMITTED HUNTS have pointed out these problems to "GS Management" & I for one would like to see wording changes from "Near"/"Next To"/"In Front Of" to "WITH". The word "WITH" should allow Hunts to count if the item is in the picture, I like 3X3's idea of a monitor educating poorly reasoned disputers! CB's gripe to just "REMOVE THE FAKE/INSUFFICIENT INFO BUTTON" is wrong, there will rare times when a Hunt should be voted that way...as it is now...there are FAR TOO MANY POORLY REASONED FAKE VOTES & if one disputer votes fake, "monkey see - monkey do's" also vote fake! I beleive Hunts were meant to be fun, but they SURE AREN'T FUN FOR MANY SUBMITTERS ANY MORE (see posts on Forums & Blogs as well)!

The angle thing wasn't inteneded to be from totally different angles; as long as from one picture to the next you see different angles of any object in the photo it should be acceptable.

An example of angles poorly understood, is I had one recently where my fountain hunt was voted by some as "same angle" though it was somewhat similar due to the scope (two cars wide) photo; both are taken from the front; but the photo's are actually more than 10 feet from the left/right of the other. (you can see the different angles of the cars change from one photo to the next, more of the side of my car is visable when compared to the other. Even the stairs up to the fountain is more visable from one photo to the other. You see more angles of the cars, and fountain; altough both are "front" angles...see why "angles" can be a misleading word.

Tim, for the record; you personnally are not targeted here. I respect some of your decisions to vote fake; and we know your votes are thought through more often than not. And for those who have voted fake when maybe they shouldn't have, the point here is to eduacte the "rules" and why they are there so people can make better decisions when voting.

One of the biggest changes I want to see is the ability to re-do a hunt; sometimes what looks good to the member at first; later it might be noticed the hunt could have been done better, weather the first submission was voted real or not; I think we should have the ability to re-do a hunt. (example is car photoguy's kissing girls, I'm sure he could get those nice girls together again for a re-shoot) In any case, re-do hunts should not award new points if the previous submission was already real (so prevent cheating for points and re-doing the same one over and over) and...if it was voted fake; then at least you have the fun to go out and try it again.

...and as for my fountain, it was two different angles and I'm not redoing it!

way to go nicole for getting this out in the open.maybe we can put some fun back into the hunts again..i think we really need to add the persons name to the hunt(whether they vote it fake or real).that way if someone blatently votes something obviously fake or real the points can be deducted accordingly. I THINK COMMON SENSE PLAYS A BIG PART HERE!!!!

I think everyone has a good point, the hunts were designed to be fun. Tim, Of all the people on here you are first one I ask about my hunt claims. If you think there is something wrong with it then I must have screwed something up. Some of the hunts are pretty difficult to get "next to", for example an armored car. These are operated by two armed personel hired to haul lots of cash around. 50 feet or more is about as close to "next to" as I'm going to get. Carphotoguy makes a good point with something changed with the hunts, and what it was IMO is the required comments. Certain people get a kick out of irritating others, and this is the perfect way. They leave stupid comments and no one knows who it is. When the Ult Hunts went to this format it increased, now 500 points are up for grabs. What easier way than to irritate the competition into quitting the Ult Hunts. I really think the best way to cut the BS out is to revert to the original way, no comments unless you want to leave them in the comments section. I can live with a couple of votes against it with no reason.

Thanks Nicole for trying to get this all straightened out I for one love doing the Hunts and have alot of Fun trying to find them!! But some people are taking the fun out of them,glad to see someone fixing things for the better!!

that is a great idea....and rather than have it voted fake and lose the points maybe say after 5 fake votes it goes off to a mod to review it before he/she doesnt get credit for it???

I think if the comments are annonomous until the claim is validated then if that many people disaggree, I think that person should re-do it (thus my re-do option I wanted to get added)

That hunt gave me tons of disputes, but ultimately led to accepting it as real.
