Hey does anyone know the best way to get tree sap off of a car? on the window, paint, and on my convertible top... or am I SOL?
It was a windy day and where I parked the stang work I got lots of globs all over my car!

Bug/Tar Remover.

You can scrap it off the window. Goof Off works great... on the convertible top you have to be very carefull. I am not sure goof off or any type of bug and tar remover would work, and it might destroy the fabric. Speak with the dealer or even an upholstery shop about a solvent that might break down the sap and not ruin the top.

You might want to take it to a professional auto detailer,someone that has been doing it a long time,not a fly by nite one. lol

yes the convertible top is a big problem with the sap. the goo gone stuff doesn't even touch it there. I will have to check with the professionals on that one!!!

I never had to deal with tree sap , but a passenger had stepped in gum that needless to say stuck all in the carpet, the remover was almost like a spray freon, then it just crumbled apart, no damage to the carpet. something like that may work on the top

Washington is notorious for tree sap. :(

I can always get it off easy with bug/tar remover. BUt yeah, that top.. Hm.
