Alright, heres the thing. I own a 94 mustang 5.0 and lately it has been having starting problems... Sometimes in the morning when I am getting ready to take off it wont start and it will just turn over but wont actually fire. The battery is fine, it has plenty of power and the ignition system has spark but it just wont fire up, it will just keep turning over. Now, I was thinking it could be either the fuel filter or fuel pump.. So i replace the filter two days ago and then after that it would start right up... both yesterday mornign and this mornign it started no problem. But, tonight when I went to my gf's high school, I left the car sitting for about 6-7 hours and when I came back to start it up, it would not go.. It would just turn over and over but no fire. I have no idea what this could be and was hoping maybe some of you guys have had a similiar problem before.. any ideas?

definatly sounds like a fuel problem. You might want to check if the fuel pump is working. easiest way is to have some one turn the key on, while you are under the car in the back. You should hear like an electric motor sound (fuel pump) if you don't then there is your problem.
also, have you hit any hard bumps? because if you have, there is a fuel pump inertia switch on pretty much all ford Vehicles and definalty all 5.0's. Im not quite sure where it is on the 94's , but it might be under the dash by the driver side kick panel. It will be a black case, with a red button on the top. make sure its pushed down. If its not not on that kick panel, just check in the owners manual, it will tell you where it is. Hope this helps.

Yeah, intermittent fire. Probably not fuel related. Got any codes? I've seen a couple of things cause this, bad hall effect sensor in the distributor for one. $26 repair. I had one take over a year to completely fail, hard starting is one symptom, car shutting off randomly was another. The effect is very similar to a bad TFI module, more inclined to think bad hall effect sensor. You say you've got good power for cranking? I've had a '95 crank without firing, put it on a charger overnight and it fired up first thing in the morning. Underdrive pulleys and summer heat will ruin a battery in under two years. I wasted a lot of batteries until I ditched the underdrive alternator pulley. Pull a plug wire and see what color the spark is. Blue is good, orange is weak.
