I'm looking at a 94 GT that was a theft recovery about 7 years ago so it has a salvaged title. The guy has completely rebuilt the car, replacing everything that was missing or damaged. So here's my question, what are the all of the downsides of owning a car with a salvaged title?
heres the link to the car I'm looking at....

Value.
Some R titled cars are put back together better , the the value still takes a hit
this car without a salvage title KBB's at 4700 in excellent condition with that mileage.
It is a sharp looking car, IMO i dont think hes going to get what he wants for it.

I've been talking to him about trading, because he says he will trade for a truck....mines worth around 4-5k because of the high mileage...

well, I just found out that you can't get a tag for a salvaged vehicle in the state of Alabama without going through a lot of BS and you can't legally buy a salvaged vehicle unless you have a certain license or you are a dealer... :looney:
