View Full Version : My 1911 facelift is now complete

I see some of you are into guns so I thought some of you might enjoy this one..

Just put the finishing touches on one of my RIA 1911s..
(I have 2 RIAs and a few other brand 1911s)

I had the frame coated in Dark Earth and added a new H/T/S grip safety, and grips..

It looked like a twin of the one I posted below it when I started..

Best of all I only have $320 into the gun, and that includes the purchase price
and it shoots like a champ :)

The frame finish was $50
The parts were $120
and the gun was $150....brand new
(I did some welding work at the local range, so they cut me a good deal on it) :naughty:
