Does anyone or particularly those of you who do body work know how to remove the body molding, trim pieces from a 90 fox mustang.

The pic below is what I have as my camera wen tto the San Juans with Shiloh, but I want it all off for painting. If it is black it needs to come off. There appears to be some sort of clip on many pieces but I have no clue how to remove it and I do not want to replace it when Krylon Fusion has worked so well on many other exterior plastics.

The older one shows it in better grey detail :(

The door side trim is 3M double sided tape. Get a good grip and start pulling. Bitch to get off the tape. The small front and rear side piece are like bolted on. You'll need to unscrew them to get them off.

latemodelrestoration.com has the new piece if you want to replace them.

Use a hair dryer and some fishing line to "floss" it off so to speak. Heat it up with the hairdryer and then slide the fishing line behind the trim and slowly work it all the way down. WEAR GLOVES I tore the crap out of my thumbs trying to get the adhesive off.

Thanks fo the advice, but I just want to make sur we are talking about the same pieces. I am referring to the trim just under all the windows so to speak rather than the lower side moldings.

Hmm yeah I thought you were talking about the door moldings vs the window moldings. I'm not sure how they are connected on the Stang, I know on my truck I had to take out the windows to access them.
