To some of you this is old hat, but I thought that I would post it anyway.
Dan over at 3.8mustang.com has made a grille and fender cobra with an LED eye. Very nice idea and great finish piece for show car guys.

these are functional emblems, as they still retain the adheisive to stick to your fender. they will come with enough wire to for both sides so they can be installed the way he intended for them... splice into parking lights... turn on the parking lights, the emblems turn on. will work if wired into the foglights as well. a 12v source is recommended.

You get your choice of color on the LEDs and I'm sure that if you talk to him about it, he could make up something custom for you as well.

He is in the process of making a version of these for us non-cobra guys out of the running pony for the grille and possibly the fender emblems as well.

You will have to email him for the price. That's what he told me to tell you. lol.
As for the install, it will be just like the ford part. It's made from a ford part so that is how it will fit. I should be installing mine soon. I'm waiting for my new fogs.

Do you guys think they look ricey? I think the idea is good but then i got to thinking about it and you only see a led at night not the whole cobra. If you coudl get oen that was kinda like see thru and glows because the led is behind it now i woudl pimp some of those. Kinda udnerstand what i am saying? Not slamin it cause i would still like some but woudl really liek some where the whole emblem lights up. just my .02

My Cobra - I had the same thoughts about being ricey. I can see how it would be kinda cool at a night car show but other than that, I believe if you drive around with it on---RICE.

I like your idea about the entire badge glowing as well. I'll have a talk with him about it, I have an idea on how he might go about it. Once I have something for you I'll post here. :gso:

sounds good. I would like to have the whole bage glow or somethign like that ya know not just one led becuase that one led will be all that is seen at night. pass along the idea see what they can do. If you can get the whole thing to glow i would sport them :)

I talked to him and he says that he really doesn't have the facilities to do them. I did come up with a way that you could do it though if you feel that you can.

In this pic, the line is the body of the car, the light grey is a plexiglass piece, and the badge is the darker grey. In the plexi you could place one or two LED bulbs. This would then shine out of the edges of the plexi, creating a glowing effect. :thumpupn:

Done before or not, makes no difference to me, I think it'd look su-weet. Maybe the running horse purging out the nostrils with the lighted eyes? I can't spray my motor because of the 11:1 cr, but I can purge a 10lb bottle for weeks I'm guessing. LOL, how lame is that?

you can spray 11:1 depending on the rotating assembly...nitrous loves compression, as long as you are running the right tune...a 2 mode flip switch will get you there on a nitrous tune and an NA tune

as far as the badges...i think they are cool. i think the LED lights is less rice than some glowing badge...it reminds me of those lighted ford ovals...GAY
