99-04 Carbon fiber hood Info

I am looking at getting a new hood since mine flew up and shattered on the windshield this weekend on my way back from a car show. I have been looking at the VIS carbon fiber Cowl induction hood and was wondering if anybody has seen one on a car and how it fits and looks. It is a lot of money and I cant take any chances this time please help me with my delema

I have a VIS carbon fiber Cobra R2000 hood and its perfect. The underliner is made by Cervinis and the carbon fiber by VIS, two very reputable companies IMO. Mine has a steel latch and the place for the hood prop is just as good as stock. There is only one spot on my hood where the weave of the carbon fiber is messed up and its at a corner and doesn't look like it could have been avoided. The fit is perfect. A friend and I put it on in less than an hour and it was out first hood install. Mine has a nice thick clear coat and makes the carbon fiber weave look deep. I've gotten many compliments on mine and am glad I bought it. The price would have came out the same if I had bought a Fiberglass hood because it would have had to been painted. Hope this helps.
