How big of a difference will a lightweight flywheel make in the acceleration and gas mileage of my '95 5.0? Are there any disadvantages? Will i still be able to run a king cobra clutch on it or does it have to be something a little less heavy duty?

The main advantage is the speed at which the engine gets to peak RPM, With a billet aluminium FW the motor will spin up quicker and also drop RPM's faster between shifts. But the weight of the flywheel depends on what the motor is balanced to. You would not want to place a 50 oz flywheel on a 28 oz balanced motor and vice versa. Hope this sheds some light on the subject for you.

The flywheel will help your performance but it won't do anything for your milage, only you foot can help the milage.
