Hey guys,

Just recently bought an Autometer Cobalt Air/Fuel Gauge (yes i know, light show) but I really like the way it looks...

anyways, I had a phantom gauge wired before this and it worked fine... today I put in the Cobalt gauge but the blue lettering does not light up? It only has 3 wires (red, black, and purple) and I know the purple goes to the o2 and the black goes to the ground... but does the red have to go somewhere special now???

If so, if you have one or know, can you please tell me how I need to re-wire this gauge to get it to actually light up? It sweeps fine with the purple, it works just fine but the lettering does not light up...

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

BTW its for a 2004 GT

The red should hook up to a power source that get power once the key is turned on. Just hooked up a silver series tach...same thing there.

Yeah it had a white....but on the tach the white wire is only used if you don't have a MSD. If you don't have an MSD then the white wire ties into the coil modual...on my '89 that is.
