This Bothers me!

i like face-off's and i dont want to turn it off.

but, i was challenged to a face-off(even though i only lost by one)

it doesnt bother me that i lost, but what bothers me is that my dads v6 was put up against a contennial edition GT. i dont think thats fair. because obviously the contennials gonna win.

That's how the face-off are. It doesn't really matter what kind of Mustang or Cobra it is, it's about how it looks and how it appeals to other GS'ers. Your face-off is alot more even than some others I've seen (you only lost by one). I have a black V6, I could challenge you if it makes you feel any better.

Besides it's REALLY hard to find cars to do a face-off with that are comparable - especially with our older cars. It's either much better or much worse.

A lot of the time face-off results and car show results are ridiculous, but you should take the rational-emotive coping strategy, don't let the results bother you, what you need to evaluate is the way you look at the stressor, not the stressor myself. Keep the faith my 5.0 brother, and take out your frustrations by doing a face off with against a v6. :dance: teehee.

If you stressing over a faceoff on a web forum, wait till you go to a REAL car show. Then when there are 50 Mustangs from all years lumped in 1 class, you'll understand. If you want fair car show, show on the ISCA circuit.

Hahaha I guess that comment was directed towards me ...but I have to laugh @ your "Stock" comment especially coming from a V6 flip and since his thread is in regards to what someone felt to be "an unfair face off" in that aspect I must point out that you were the one that challenged me to a face off which I assume you thought would be an easy win since my stang is …as you say ...a "stock" primer/unpainted body kit project GT... but no worries ...As I told you before when she is sprayed (which shouldn’t be long now) You will get the rematch that you’re dying for :nailbite: Personally in the state my stang was in at the time I wouldn’t have voted for me, but I guess others saw it as an unfair face off as well and maybe that’s why they voted the way they did…. Who knows, but hey it’s all in fun. :beerchug:

Coop I’m not a V6 Hater .. I used to own one remember (Orange Stang in Sig)
Just making a point that it was odd she told him to go after a V6 in a face off to take out his frustrations on...especially since hers is a V6 Flip.
Bottom line is since all we can’t all afford BRAND NEW outta the box cars you shouldn’t make stabs at others because every one of us out there has a flaw I’m sure.

Wow lots of assumptions going on here, the V6 idea was not a knock on the sixxers, I was just throwing something out there for the kid.

Please don't get on your high horse about that face off thing again trikpony, I told you why I challenged you and the results reflected the results of the car show as I presumed they would. No one is going to honestly vote for the winner of most car shows to be a stock green GT with an unpainted body kit over a red SN95 custom targa top with precision perfect painted stars and spangles all over it or a color shifting vert with a T-70 on it. However it seems to happen every single time. My car sure as hell wouldn't beat those cars, it'd be an insult, a lie for my car to come out ahead of those cars. No matter, they're not my cars and it's not my car show so I don't care. Only thing I called you on was changing the car pic during the face off to a car that wasn't yours. Cause it's just, well, retarded, that's the only explanation I can think of for it.

As far as it being a project....all of our cars are a project. You think even the most badass looking mustang on here doesn't still have room for improvement mechanically and physically in the owners eyes? All of our cars are projects, that's why they're considered a hobby. That doesn't mean I change the picture of my car to a 1998 SA-15 Saleen when someone chooses me for a face off.

Think about it sweetheart, it's not you or your car, it's just the action. But to each their own I guess.
