NEW FEATURE: GS TEAMS => LIVE, TESTING.

I have been thinking about this for a long time.

Its just another way to earn GS points and exposure!

Think of someone being able to start a team/squad/posse whatever, and then have them compete against other teams.

The only way someone can join your team is if you invite them and they accept. A valid team consists of 10 or so members and it needs to have cars from all classes.

Heavily modified, moderately modified, lightly modified and STOCK.

This way all the teams will be 'equal' in sense and will allow for FACE-OFFS and TOURNAMENTS on a team per team basis.

Now I am also going to be introducing a better way of setting up a CAR CLUB which will completely different from this system and more official.

You can jump between teams and such however you want, recruit people etc... the goal is to build the best team, etc.

We can even use this for team hunt items, 'make a figure 8' (if its a local team) etc.. you can think of all the posibilities.

1 squad per person. If you create a team/squad you cannnot join another team. You must disband that team etc.

I mean you can even setup duals between other messageboards if you want, or other local clubs. And teams can even be members of competing car clubs which will be introduced later.

So for instance if the BMC wanted to split up into 2 seperate teams... maybe a 99-04 team and then another team they can do that too!

I want alot of input on this because i think this could be the best feature to GS YET!!!


SO lets figure out the rules.

Teams are made of 10 so..

2 CARS FROM HEAVY
5 CARS FROM MODERATE
2 CARS FROM LIGHT
1 CAR FROM STOCK

I mean I can add different LEAGUES TOO! Like a big boys league....

5 cars from HEAVY
5 cars from MODERATE

then maybe a minor league where you can have a different team layout.

0 from HEAVY
2 from MODERATE
5 from LIGHT
3 from STOCK

For those who are team leaders: I will be expanding on the team admin section... which is under the manage menu on the right hand side. Just click on Team. You can see where I will be going with this..

Removing members, adding members etc... right from that area.

Also, you will be able to see who youve already invited to your team so you dont lose track.

There can only be as many teams as their are members. If I allow 1 custom member per team, there can only be that many teams. that was the reasoning behind this. I will be resolving this soon...

im just not sure it should be bound by that j, i think there are alot of cars out there i would have on my team that are not custom, because they are very strong cars . i think it should be limited to 10 members and half should be from the stock class. and the other 5 from the other classes

i agree , you could have say 3 custom cars and 7 others that are not nearly as strong , and on team comps its the overall package that should count. there could be 10 moderates that are very strong with no heavy or custom cars even on there team. i just dont think there should be a restriction.

I have a couple questions do the Team Leader's Points count in the Team also? And I know we have 10 members but the Leader doesn't count in the 10 right!! I had to take the 66 off the team to get access to the team I own and then could not get back on my team with the 66...it sed I was a team owner....so as a owner I can't participate with either of my cars. :ugh2:

"THIS TEAM ALREADY HAS YOUR CAR CLASS FILLED, SORRY! YOU WERE TO LATE!!!"

But in fact there were 2 more open spots left in that class to be filled on his team, so when he PMed the member back with a link to his team page ...and asked the member to click on "Join Team" at the bottom of the page. It sent him the members request to join the team ..and when he clicked accept ...it let the same member which was denied earlier via invitation be added to his team. So only if a member requests to be on his team are they being able to join, but via invitation they are all getting the message listed above... even when there is open room in that class on the team for them.

Anyways I hope that made some sense ...

These are the description of errors I like to see... well done trik... this has been fixed. You have to re-invite those that are not showing up in your pending member section.

I felt that it would limit the number of teams because of the number of inactive stock people... so I made a slight change.

Cool, good decision. I know there are a lot of request from lightly modded to join than any other class.
