I am switching carriers and am not sure who to go with...I went and got several quotes online for my car and me being the only operator...basically I got the best coverage and price from Safeco

Here is what I have received so far, All quotes are for 100/300, 50,000 property, 100/300 uninsured, towing and rental re-emburs...500 deductible for collision and accidental damage

Safeco $1197/6 months ($193/month)
Progressive $1750/6 months ($291/month)
Esurance $1250/6 month

Does anyone have a particular company that they are insured under that they would recommend? I also have a grandfather who is a retired Navy Officer and was thinking of going with USAA insurance if I qualify which I should but have not been able to get a quote yet....
I am 21 yrs old, male, 1 moving violation in 2004 (underbody Neon violation which was marked as moving)

let me know anything you guys recommend etc

much appreciated,
Kyle

try a local agent. I have Farmers ins. it was the cheapest for me and I have a couple of tickets on my record. I paying $109 a month for 100/300/100 and a $500 deductible. I tried all of the big places like geico, progressive and they were alot more.

Geico was the least expensive for me. We had a totalled truck and our rates didn't go up much at all when we replaced her with an 05. They were very friendly and concerned about the accident too. Nice people.

I have esurance and mine is $185 a month for 6 months and I have a terrible driving record. I'm really not sure how I still have a lisence. The only thing is I have $2000 deductible.

Mine is $80 a month liability only through Farmers.

I've never heard of Safeco. But I've heard good things about Progressive and E-surance.

I use safeco...love em. Easy to deal with. My rates are kinda high but the least expensive that I have found for my family. 1238.00 for 6 months full coverage on my stang and on the hubbys truck. I don't carry the limitsd that you have listed but in Florida I don't need that so I have state minumin with comp and collision. We both have tickets (speeding of course) and I was recently notified that parts for my car were difficult to find whick caused an increse but they are still less that anyone else....

Hey Kyle,
We use Allstate, and have for about 20 years! We have repeatedly found that the bigger carriers are much more competitive now days.
Try a local agent, that will more personalize your coverage, and the agents actually will watch out for you if you get a good one!
We switch cars a LOT and our local agent has never missed a beat!
BTW: We pay $1432 per YEAR and that includes the '99 GT, '03 Mach, '97 F250, Herbie, and a Toyota beater.
Your Safeco quote is good. I haven't heard any bad stuff about them.
