View Full Version : 2005 V6 Dual Exhaust...Which system??

OK i am thinking of getting dual exhaust within the next month...you tell me which one and why...

JBA - Dual cat back w/ ypipe - 450
-2.5" piping, 3" tips

JBA - True Dual w/ h pipe - 600
-2.5" piping, 3" tips

MAC - Dual cat back w/ ypipe - 450
-2.5" piping, 4" tips

Magnaflow - Dual cat back w/ ypipe - 450
-2.5" piping, 3" tips

now remember i have a supercharger, but will the Hpipe really make enough difference in performance to spend the extra money installing, buying parts, and reworking my 02 sensor system...or just buy the cheaper y pipe system which will give me good performance just not as good as the H, sound just about as good, and not spend as much time with the install and the 02 sensor re welding.... YOU TELL ME GS!! Y-PIPE + CAT BACK or TRUE DUAL + H-PIPE!

go true duals...I would only go 2 1/4 inch though on a 6er, but since you have a blower you can probably get away with 2.5" piping...I would do X pipe IMO, most guys in my car club dont like the H pipes because they lose power because of it....some run catted and others offroad pipes, they also have V8's though

I'm kinda partial to the sound of Magnaflows! I would go with the y-pipe and cat back. If you have a programmer (SCT,Predator,etc.) you dont really need to re-work the O2 sensors. Just turn them off with the tuner. Or you can get MIL's.

i have a catted or h pipe 2.5 and run a mac true duals system, thats a good choice

lol I AM A HE, and no, I aint getting a GT, because I am already pushing more power than any stock GT with ease. I am thinking of going with the Magnaflow Y pipe system...

I have stock GT mufflers and true dual exhaust from the cats back. Go that way it sounds good and gives a great flow.
