5.0 exhaust

i have a 95 5.0 and im ready put in exhaust. im know im going to do equal length headers and an off road h-pipe but havent decided on mufflers. im not sure what kind i want. i want something thats going to sound loud and mean. magnaflow and flowmasters seem to be the front runners. any suggestions??

Try the MAC system. Sounds great. A little deeper and louder than 2 chamber flowmasters. Nice and mean. :devil:

i got flowmasters on mine witht he off road pipe and that shi roars but i would say magnaflow

i have always ran one chambers with dumps. they are pretty loud and mean sounding :devil: :beerchug:

The 5.0's sound great with the two-chamber flowmasters, but the 4.6's rock with the magnflows.

I agree with redtwilight. I have 2 chamber flows on mine. My sister-in-law had the Mac on her 95. Like he said,it's a little louder and deeper sounding. I liked it alot.

I've heard 2 chamber flowmasters create a drone...

I personally have 3 chamber flowmaster cat-back and I have ALLOT of compliments on the sound of my stang.

...I'll try to remember to get a audio clip of the exhaust when I get teh car back from teh tranny shop

--i forgot to mention that the 3 chamber mufflers is still loud :)
if it wasn't loud I wouldn't like em
so 3 chamber = loud and no drone -a very good sound

It really depends on how loud you want to be.Like Nicole said,the 2 chambers to have a drone,but they are loud and mean.Are you running cats ? My bro has the 3 chambers without cats,and his wife had the Mac with cats.Hers was by far louder,even with the cats still on. I havent heard the Spintech's that Nitmare suggested. If your looking for a different sound than everybody else, Terminators sound different.You really cant go wrong with any of them.

I am running bbk headers, w/ bassani o/r x-pipe and Spintech Pro Shoot outs NOT pro street-straight open muffler no dumps, and at idle or at a low rpm cruising speed they're a dream no drone no nothing. But as soon as you mash it, it gets loud real fast. I am running the two-chambers on my 5.0 and the sound is awesome. I'm not so sure it's a drone, but a nice rumble. At 35 to 40 in third (automatic) the car sounds incredible. At idle and get on the pedal the sound is sweet. I have had compliments on the sound of the mustang.

I am also amazed at the offers to purchase my car. Like I have said before the car is pretty much stock, with average paint - but the number of offers is weird.
