I am trying to design a custom center console for my '88 Notch but I am having trouble with the design due to the emergency brake. The handle is very close to the floor and there is little room to work around it. I have tried to encorporate the use of the e-brake into the design but I just can't get the design I am looking for while leaving the e-brake in the original position.
My question is this.. is it probable to move the e-brake to a pedal under the dash? If so what do I need to make it work? Maybe, just build over the existing e-brake and never use it again. I found this pic on www.NCStangs.com and it looks as though this one was covered up by the console that was built.
