When i turn left i get this weird creeking noise like an old door opening or closing. i thought it was the stearing column greased everything in there but its not. so now what can it be it sounds like its coming from the right front side of the car when i turn left. any help would be great????

what year mustang do you have? mine is doing the exact same thing. I'm taking the wheel off this weekend for a closer look. Hopefully it's nothing :D

yeah we probally have the same problem, Hopefulyl I'm getting on a lift this weekend to do a Brake job on my GT, and i'll have that wheel off to see what the hell that sound is. Its only when you cut your wheel all the way right and if you turn it back a little bit the problem stops?

what kind of sound is it? is it a rubbing sound or is it a whining sound?

for a rubbing sound, check the front sway bar for any scuff marks or the back of the tire. if it is whining, its your power steering. ford always had loud power steering but if its louder than normal, u may have burnt fluid, and that'll require a flush. the fluid is supposed to be red because all it is is tranny fluid. if its darker than red, just bring it to a lube shop and have them flush it

you are definately having some rubbing issues...do you have OEM rims and standard front tire size? what you are gonna want to do is take off that rim, and check the other side of the tire for any scuff marks. it is probably rubbing the sway bar.

if the creek is more of a high pitched sound its just your power steering. fords have always been infamous for loud power steering units

on mine its a thumping sound, liek something is rubbing, but when I took off the wheel for the brake job I couldent find anything that looked out of the ordinary? I thought perhapse my caliper was loose and hitting my rim spokes, but they were both fine.. I'm clueless

in that case, wish i had another possibility for you to look into, cuz i'm stumped without being able to hear it in person

SOmething has to be up, because I can feel the wheel jerk when it makes the sound. I may just take it to a dealership to have it looked at

mine sounds like an old door opening when i turn just a little bit to the left, but even if i turn hard or just tap the wheel left it does it. hopefully this weekend i can dig into it a little. we'll see.
